Graduate Students
Dr. Chavarria is reviewing applications for a new student for the fall 2024 admission period. Competitive applications are those with independent research experience (e.g., honor's thesis, first-authored scientific publications/presentations, lead or major role in a research project), strong letters of recommendation, long-term goals of academic/research careers, and research interests that align with the RoAD Lab. For more information on the clinical psychology program, please visit the department website. For information on how to apply to the clinical program, visit here.
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students are vital to the research being conducted by the RoAD Lab. Research assistants (RAs) will gain first-hand research experience and learn about addiction and other comorbid disorders. Common activities for RAs include (but are not limited to) reading & summarizing research articles on relevant topics, data management (e.g., entering, cleaning, analyzing, etc.), research participant management (e.g., recruiting, contacting, scheduling, etc.), running experiment procedures, and attending weekly lab meetings and other trainings.
Students can join the RoAD lab through the Honor's Program, Work Study Program, or as a volunteer RA. Please visit the following links for more information: Honor's Program & Work Study Program.
The RoAD Lab requires a 2-semester (consecutive) commitment of 5-10 hours per week. We are looking for individuals who will be able to assist in running an experimental protocol over summer 2024. If you will be in London over the summer, and can commit to this requirement, and are interested in joining us, please e-mail your CV or resume and your grade report/transcript to Lila Gavigan ([email protected]).
